Love me two times!


The above photo is of IKEA’s breakfast special, which I ate two of while Bee merely had a cup of coffee. What can I say? I spoil myself.

Feeling grimy and dull, I put a mask on this morning and then sat down to my breakfast of over easy egg, half an avocado, tomato and one Trader Joe’s brand breakfast patty, which is like a dollar cheaper than the Morningstar patties.

They are fake sausage, in case you’re a hardcore carnivore.

Anyway, I had it all timed out perfectly in the pan.

Everything was hot, egg sitting on top of breakfast patty island.

There was steam and coffee.

I poked the yolk.

Nice, I thought as it erupted over my soy circle.

Bringing a yolky bite of egg, patty, tomato and avocado to my mouth, I realized I couldn’t open my mouth wide enough.

The mask had dried.

I didn’t want to have my Ole Henrikson start flaking off into my food, but

I didn’t want my food to get cold.

It’s a rare occassion when I can have it just so perfectly hot all at once.

So, I went for it.

I went against my pore refining facial restraints and wolfed down my food.

Man, it was good! My best egg to date. I actually sprinkled a little nori and sesame seeds on it with the standard shake of S & three grinds of P.

My coffee tasted the weirdest though. I had mask remnants on the mug mouth and well, Ole flakes in the coffee…

Everything had a weird perfume-y after-taste, but it wasn’t so bad.

Kinda refreshing.

Anyway, I’m starting 2007 off on the right foot… down to the smallest yet crucial breakfast moments.

I think I made the right decision.

I have no regrets.

Cue music!
